Good News Church Foundations
What an exciting day we live in!
I am very thankful that you have answered God’s call to attend the Foundation Class. You are preparing for leadership in the Kingdom of God. We know from studying God’s word that leadership requires sacrifice and commitment. Sacrifice and commitment then become the two principal qualities of discipline. As you mature in the Lord, you will see that discipline will be your key to success and service in the Lord.
There is no room in the Kingdom of God for slothfulness, rebellion, unfaithfulness, strife or contention. Remember, Satan cannot destroy the church: “The gates of Hell shall not prevail (overthrow) against the church.”(Matthew 16:18) However, Satan can cause havoc in the church by using men and women against one another. For this reason, we have endeavored to place the body in unity and all speak the same thing, and developed this course to give a uniform, fundamental foundation to all of the church.
As you begin this exciting time of learning, I ask you to do as Jesus said, and COUNT THE COST. Jesus said, “Whosoever doth not bear his cross, and come after me, cannot be my disciple. For which of you intending to build a tower, sitteth not down first, and counteth the cost, whether he have sufficient to finish it?” (Luke 14:27-28)
I just want you to know that you are sufficient to finish this course because, “greater is He that is within you than he that is in the world.” (1 John 4:4) I know that it will be a profitable experience if you are faithful to both the class and studying the lessons. Your Christian experience will be greatly influenced by what you will learn in the next 13 weeks. You will accumulate a vast treasure of information and scriptures. As you continue in the spirit filled life, this information will become a tremendous resource for your spiritual foundation and will help guide you in your spiritual walk.
I welcome you as a believer to Good News Church and may God bless all that you strive to do for His name.
